About Me, Lucas Evans, CTO of InventXR,
Creator of iStudy and Educoin

Hi,

Freedom said I should write this page to introduce myself to you. (My Dad says to market myself). Since a picture is worth a thousand words, there are pictures and short videos.

My name is Lucas Evans, I am the CTO and Systems Administrator of InventXR, and the creator of iStudy. Ever since I was young, I’ve always been fascinated by computers. Growing up around my father, who has started several technology companies, as well as the Super Information Highway, it was never difficult to learn more about what I loved. Although I have always been a quick learner, I also have ADD, which made school quite challenging for me at times, especially with the archaic LMS systems that my schools had to offer, which made it near-impossible for me to communicate and learn with my peers.

It was this frustration that led me to begin designing iStudyXR, an LMS which is centered around communication, and shared knowledge amongst students. Even starting in Elementary School, I often found myself in the position of helping not only my peers but also my teachers with the use and understanding of technology. I came up with the concept of Educoin, realizing that such an imbedded incentive system would have given me much motivation and a sense of accomplishment, as it directly rewards students for sharing their skills and knowledge with their peers and teachers. I was able to trademark Educoin in 2019.

I attended Menlo Business College for 2 years and took this break to work on inventXR.

I’m a very active person, who loves the outdoors. I enjoy camping, snowboarding, and played football in high school. While in Boy Scouts, I often sleep under the stars without a tent. I go to the gym often to keep my body and mind sharp. Fitness and routine help with my ADD.

Letter of Recognition from the Peace Innovation Lab for the development of JournalXR. I built and maintained the server for that publication which lead to lots of Google views as students published their knowledge. This lead to the creation of the tiny Designership Institute. Where as CTO, I was able to begin iStudy.

Presenting JournalXR to professors at Stanford (Summer 2017, Junior at Gunn High School)

I did this myself. USPTO accepted it the way it was after I paid $100 to an email (spam) lawyer.

Exploring Solar Solution to power our “Micro-ZEN” for our Village Server. We have a cool presentation on how to power it and connect it to remote villages via satellite and without internet. This also lead us to meet the countries technical business owners. It was clear they were hungry to obtain their kids a real education.

Finally, just days before the return flight, enjoying the outdoors on an amazing and short safari in Zimbabwe (after a month of installing iStudy and navigating government bureaucracy of Ministry departments that fought each other.)

Above:  Talking to students in Zimbabwe about computers, everyone looking at me.

Below:  Freedom, My Dad and I created a “complete” Education Solution for rural and poor areas. Below is the slide show converted to MP4 w/8 second slides – no audio. I stood up and did the presentations to Businesses and Ministers, one click at a time. You can see how we went way beyond an LMS.

I LOVE our Micro-ZEN (Micro-iStudy server) has the power to discover smart kids trapped in rural areas. After all, one does not get to choose their parents or where they are born.

Success! Our Completed Rack of iStudy Servers in Harare Datacenter. Installed the first Digital Education ability in Zimbabwe. Power would go out all the time in this poor country. We allowed MIT use of one of our servers for teaching farmers.
